Polyaniline (PANI) with a similar chemical structure to thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) can change the degree of micro-phase separation morphology and crystallization of TPU/PANI blends. In this work, first The emeraldine salt form of PANI nanorods were synthesized. Then TPU/PANI blends (0, 0.8, 1.2, and 2  wt.% PANI) were prepared by solution casting and evaluated by DSC.It was found that the addition of the PANI leads to the Tg of soft segment significantly decreasing and a new hard segment crystal domain with a higher melting temperature (Tm2=188°C) being formed. Also, the degree of micro-phase separation between the hard and soft segment was enhanced.
