The solvent-induced chain aggregation determines the charge transport properties for many conjugated polymers (CPs). To study the effect of the ternary solvent mixture on the photophysical properties of poly[2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV), three solvents with different Hansen parameters was used for dissolving this polymer. The MEH-PPV as a well-known conjugated polymer was dissolved in a ternary solvent system by the dropwise and continuous adding route. In this work, the influence of solvent mixtures on the optical properties was investigated by Ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy.
