Viscous environments are ubiquitous in nature and engineering applications, from mucus in lungs to oil recovery strategies in the earth’s subsurface, and in all these environments, bacteria also thrive. In this paper, we are concerned with the rheology of bacteria suspension relevant to Escherichia coli (E. coli) with different concentrations. The viscosity of bacteria suspension at low shear rates decreases, and at higher shear rates increases. As a result of the high shear rate, the solution behaves as a non-newtonian fluid.
