As a high thermally stable catalyst intended for biomass conversion, titanium (IV) silsesquioxane complex (Ti(OPri){(c-C6H11)7Si7O12}) was prepared using titanium isopropoxide and trisilanol isobutyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane as starting materials. Coordination coumpounds were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC) analyses. Analytical findings were infered compared to the starting ligand used.
