In the present work, first, 3-butyl-1-vinyl imidazolium bromide imidazolium monomer was used to prepare polymeric ionic liquid. In order to confirm the synthesized structure, the FTIR test was used. SEM-EDX analysis was applied to check the uniformity of the material produced for use as the active material of the supercapacitor electrode, and finally, the functional mechanism of this material in charge transfer was investigated using cyclic voltammetry and charge/discharge test. The results show that this material behaves similar to an ideal quasi-capacitor and can be a candidate for use in a supercapacitor.
