Abstract The manufacture and design of polymer electromagnetic shielding are the subjects of numerous researches. A new lead-free polymer composite panel was prepared in this study, and the NIST X-COM software was used to compare the theoretical and experimental mass attenuation coefficients of the sample. Epoxy resin and mineral powder whit high atomic numbers are used to prepare a shielding panel against X-rays in effective energy 44 and 82 Kev. SEM images showed homogeneous particle distributions. There is a good agreement between the experimental and theoretical attenuation results. Lead is not present in these panels, so they are environmentally friendly.
