In this research, the nanocomposites of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles with the biocompatible and biodegradable polymers of polylactic acid and polyethylene glycol, in the form of microspheres, carrying antibiotic drugs such as ciprofloxacin were studied. Biodegradability and biocompatibility of the nanocomposites and particularly the kinetics and the treatment effectiveness of these types of drug delivery systems were investigated. The other characteristics of the nanocomposites such as morphology were also reported.
