Porous structures from biocompatible polymers and nanoparticles are used as three-dimensional (3D) scaffolds in medical applications such as tissue engineering. Here, hydrogels with interpenetrated networks (IPN) based on GelMA and alginate reinforced with SiO2 nano particles (NPs) were fabricated. The mechanical and rheological analysis of the hydrogels containing 0.5, 1, and 2% SiO2 NPs were performed, The mechanical properties and shear thinning behavior of the hydrogels improved by increasing the NPs percentage.
