The possibility of direct synthesis of gold nanoparticles in organic solvents has been the focus of researchers in the last couple of decades. This study describes a novel and facile approach to synthysize LSPR-tunable gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) in organic solvents with different polarities (isopropyl alcohol and dichloromethane) using poly(N,N-dimethyl aminoethyl methacrylate) as both reducing and stabilizing agent without the need for further stabilizer or reducing agent. The optical property, size and shape of AuNPs were investigated using UV-Vis spectroscopy and TEM microscopy, respectively.
