The effect of simultaneous use of natural biocompatible polymer, hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), and synthetic polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is investigated in this research. In this regard, the solutions of PVA with different concentrations of HPC were electrospun to assay their fiber morphology, hydrophilicity, and viscosity behavior by SEM images, water contact angle tests, and rheometer. It could be concluded that adding 2 wt.% of HPC to 11.5 wt. % of PVA solution can lead to the production of nanofibers with a uniform surface, better hydrophilicity, and Newtonian behavior.
