Peel strength is a significant property in pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs). In order to take advantage of properties of both polyurethanes and acrylic polymers, in this study, a TPU-PSA containing 17.5% hard segment was blended with an acrylic copolymer PSA comprised of 82 wt. % butyl acrylate and 18 wt. % methyl methacrylate. The blends containing more than 40 wt. % TPU showed higher peel strength than the pure PSAs, due to the proper balance in their viscoelastic properties resulting in suitable wetting and dissipation.
