In this research, an epoxy resin has been synthesized by using the partial oxidation of pentaerythritol tetrarosin in the presence of alumina as a catalyst, and the final product has been identified through FTIR test and determination of epoxy equivalent weight (EEW). In addition, the conversion of the reaction was determined. Moreover, the effect of temperature, time, amount of hydrogen peroxide and catalyst on the conversion of the reaction has been investigated. The results show that with increasing time, the conversion of the reaction increases until a certain amount and then it decreases. The reaction rate increases with the increase of temperature, as expected, but the extent of reaction deacreases. With the increase of hydrogen peroxide and catalyst, the conversion increases to a certain value and then remain constant aftrwards. Finally, it was found that the most suitable temperature and time to achieve the maximum conversion of the reaction were equal to 70 oC and 70 minutes, respectively.
