Oscillation Patterns Of Two Coupled Neurons Of Different Types Of Excitability

In this manuscript, two neurons of different types of excitability are coupled through a gap junction, where none of the coupled neurons exhibit mixed mode oscillations and bursting oscillations intrinsically. Then all observed oscillation patterns of the neurons are investigated, when one of the coupling strength is fixed and the other varies. More precisely, by increasing the coupling strength different oscillation patterns such as mixed mode oscillations, bursting oscillations, intermittent oscillation and synchronous oscillations may be observed in one of the neurons or both neurons synchronously.
