Application of sediment constituent analysis for characterizing longshore sediment transport, case study of Ramin Port – Iranian Coastline of the Oman Sea

This paper presents the results of some special monitoring plan for sediment accretion characterization in a problematic port on the Iranian coastline of the Oman Sea, Ramin Port. The Sediment Constituent Analysis method has been applied in this study to assess dominant direction of longshore sediment transport adjacent to the port area. Most of the sediment samples cited in this paper were taken from the beach in 2012.
