Using a set of known colored solutions, a Nikon D200 digital camera was characterized with and without a D65 to A converting filter in order to obtain the optimized transfer matrix of RGB to CIEXYZ by a regression technique in which a third order polynomial was applied. This transformation matrix was used in order to calculate the CIEXYZ of unknown solutions. Then, the calculated CIEXYZ values were used in order to reconstruct the transmission spectra of the solutions by the application of PCA, matrix R and matrix S methods. The analysis of the criteria for the examination of the reconstruction methods showed comparable to the previous researches. Also, all of the reconstruction methods showed similar performance.
