n this research, polyaniline (PANI) and polyaniline- ZnO (PANI/ZnO) nanocomposite (unmodified and modified with Imidazole) synthesized and characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. The anti-corrosion behavior of the epoxy binder blended with PANI/ZnO nanocomposite and effect of modification of ZnO nanoparticles with Imidazole on the corrosion performance of coatings were studied in saline electrolyte at 65 by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). It was observed that the epoxy coating containing conducting PANI/ZnO nanocomposite modified with Imidazole exhibited higher corrosion resistance and provided better barrier properties against ingress of corrosive electrolyte.
