In this study, attempts have been made to modify cotton fabric via reaction of fabric with polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer with the aim to prepare new, efficient polymeric materials for reactive dyeing and antimicrobial properties. Dendrimers have been covalently grafted on cotton fabric using a 1, 3, 5-triazine derivative as the cross linker. To evaluate the properties of modified fabric, tests such as topography by SEM and FTIR were conducted. Antimicrobial activity of modified cotton fabric also was tested.
