STREAMLINE DIFFUSION SCHEME FOR A COUPLED WAVE SYSTEM WITH A LOCAL DAMPING

Following earlier work by Asadzadeh, Rostamy, and Zabihi [3] concerning a posteriori error estimate for a coupled wave system. In this paper, we study the a priori error estimate for this equation. We start with streamline diffusion finite element methods (SD) as spatial discretization. This approach yields the regularity requirements on the a priori error estimation. The proof of the a priori error estimates is based on the strong stability estimates for the corresponding adjoint equations.
