In this work, CoCr2O4 nano pigment was synthesized via low temperature combustion method using oxalic acid/ethylene diamine/citric acid as a new mixture fuel. Physicochemical properties of the nano pigment were characterized by fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), while optical properties these powders were characterized by colorimetric test in CIELAB system. In the XRD pattern all the diffraction peaks are attributed to a cobalt chromite spinel single phase. The average crystallite size of the spinel calculated from the width at half maximum of the XRD peaks by the Debye–Scherrer equation is 15.17 nm.
