In this work HA and Chitosan a natural polymer were applied on AZ31 Mg alloy to control its corrosion in body fluid. The coating was characterized to make sure both HA and chitosan present in the coating. The obtained coating was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), and its corrosion resistance examined by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The XRD results confirmed the formation of crystalline HA and FTIR showed the presence of chitosan in the coating. The result of electrochemical measurements showed that the corrosion resistance of composite coating has enhanced remarkably.
