In this study, ZnO/TiO2 nano-photocatalysts (nphs) were loaded on 3D fabrics for photo-degradation of Apollozol Brilliant Orange 3R (ABO 3R). Surface morphology and the presence of nphs on the 3D fabrics were studied utilizing SEM and EDS. Also, the effect of initial ABO 3R concentration on the photo-degradation efficiency was investigated. Furthermore, total organic carbon (TOC) analysis was employed to scrutinize the photo-mineralization of the dye. Complete decolorization and 90% TOC reduction were achieved after 120 minutes of UV light irradiation. The results revealed that the spacer fabrics loaded with ZnO/TiO2 nphs can be considered as an effective system for photo-degradation and TOC reduction of reactive dyes in textile wastewater.
