A review on basic structure of dyes used in solar cells

As the energy demand of the world increases, we need to find and replace a renewable energy resources, like solar energy with fossil fuels. Different kind of solar cells are introduced to use this energy. Dye sensitized solar cells are an important class of solar cells in which the dye absorbs the solar light. In this review, metal-based and metal-free dyes are introduced and their molecular structure are explained.
