Electrophoretic deposition(EPD) for its high-speed deposition, low-cost process, controlling thickness and controlling morphology in the production of ceramic coatings on metal substrates and complex geometric shapes, is one of the most attractive techniques in the coating. Ceramic coatings are currently of much interest for its applications in high-temperature and highly corrosive environments. In this method the voltage applied to create an electrical field inside the suspension (including isopropanol, mono-chloro acetic acid and Nano zirconia powder) and charging the particles suspended in a solution because uniform coating with controllable properties would be created on substrate. In this study the effects of the coating time with applied voltage on coating thickness and its quality were investigated. The final analysis was examined by SEM. Also the XRD analysis was used to investigate phases. Results indicate that, the presence of ZrO2 phase in coating and the existence of any oxide components on the substrates.
