On the Residual vector of the Inconsistent Set of Linear Inequalities

The union of two nonempty disjoint polyhedral is inconsistent and its alternative system is solved by minimizing the residual of the original system of linear inequalities. In this paper, we describe while this problem may have a unique solution and discuss relationship the solutions set of this problem and the unique normal solution of the consistent alternative system.
