Linear programming technique was used to determine the amount of seedling production in
a forest nursery at north of Iran. The aim was to minimize the seedling production cost in the forest
nursery subject to revenue and different seedling production capacities. LINGO Software was used to
analyze the data. Results indicated that in order to minimize the annual production cost, it is profitable
to produce oak and poplar seedlings
