. In this paper, we investigate the design effect of inverse sampling design with respect to simple random sampling. We firstly show that the strategy of inverse sampling design with Murthy’s estimator is less efficient than simple inverse sampling with ordinary sample mean estimator. Specially for the rare populations. However, when the size of population sub-groups are known, we show that it may be achieve more efficient estimators with inverse sampling design for rare populations with near to zero values in rare gтотпр.
