A new approach is proposed to solve the project scheduling problem under fuzzy environment.The idea is to apply a combination of linear programming formulation and Zadeh`s extension principle.Activities duration is assumed to follow L-R fuzzy numbers. A LP model is developed to calculate the earliest events time. The membership functions of earliest times of events are derived by calculating lower and upper bounds of earliest times in different a-cuts of fuzzy durations Finally, an example with activities duration following L-R fuzzy numbers is presented to indicate the efficiency of the proposed approach.
