Reliability of a Stress-Strength Model for Carbon Fibers Strength Data

In this article, the reliability of a system is discussed when both the strength of the system and the stress imposed on it are independent, non identical Burr Type XII distributed random variables. Different methods for estimating the reliability are applied. Analysis of the strength data measured in GPA, for single carbon fibers has also been presented for illustrative purposes.
