Title Of Article :
Isotherm and kinetic analysis of adsorption of polyphenol oxidase enzyme by activated carbon
Abstract :
The hazelnut crusts taken from Trabzon region were activated with ZnCl2 and adsorption of polyphenol oxidase enzyme on active carbon was carried out. Studies have been done at different pH (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) and different temperatures (20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 °C). Taking in to the account the Lagergreen s first-order equation for adsorption kinetics, q1 and k1 values, are a measure of absorbance s strength were obtained. The values of adsorption enthalpy (ΔH), Gibbs free enthalpy (ΔG) and adsorption entropy (ΔS) were thermodynamics parameters. Calculated from in conclusion, it has been proved from the gathered results that the active carbon sample prepared with ZnCl2 exhibits a good adsorption ability.
