Compatibility of potatoes (SolanumTuberosum L.) from different maturation group with potential seed production areas

This study was carried out in order to determine the production performance of of agria (mid-late), marabel mid-early) and agata (very-early) potatoes varieties from different maturation groups at Basic 2 (T2) and Certified 1 (S1) levels, in Erzincan-Çayırlı district identified as potential potatoes seed production area. The experiments were laid out as randomised complete block design (RCBD) with four replications. At the end of the study some statistically important differences were determined among varieties and seed stages in point of the yield and yield properties. The highest average number of tubers (11.4 units), yield per plant (1,07 kg) and total yield (34.67 ton/ha) were obtained from mid-late variety with stageT1. The highest seed ratio were obtained from early varieties in T1 and S1stage but there was no statistically significant difference between seed varieties and seed stage.
