Determination of some silage maize genotypes yield and yield components as second crop in Diyarbakır conditions
Abstract :
This study was carried out to determine the high yielded some silage maize genotypes for suitable silage maize as a second crops in Diyarbakır conditions. In this experiment; (PLY-61, PLY-7, PLY-75, DKC 7221, Samada-07 and Burak) 6 genotype were used as a research materials. The experiments were conducted the trial field of GAP International Agricultural Research and Educational Center in Diyarbakır with randomized complete block design with four replicate in 2014 year. According to the findings of experiment; Plant height ranged (250.8-291.8 cm), the number of days blooming (65.3-73.0 day), green herbage yields maize, (5592-8087 kg/da), hay yields (1093-1447 kg/da), ear/ plant (%27.3-%45.0), leaf/stem ratio (%41.1-%49.7), number ear the parcel (56.0-63.8) respectively. Burak silage cultivar in respect to green grass and dry grass yield gave higher yield in Diyarbakır second crop conditions.
