AN EVALUATION ABOUT THE PUBLIC INSPECTORSHIPS AT THE PERIOD OF TURKISH REPUBLIC

In 1923, after the foundation of Turkish Republic, aperiod of nationalization and centralization started. While these attemps were being kept, in the east part of the country, some important rebellions such as Nasturi, Şeyh Sait and Ağrı were being seen. Governors took measures and tried to form a policy to deal with these riots and sustain centralization period. First of these measures are the Public Inspectorships which were established in Southeast Anatolia as Regional States of Emergency Governorships in recent dates. After the foundation of the I. Public Inspectorships, to elicit the progress in East Anatolia and hinder the regional problems III. and IV. Public Inspectorships were founded.
