Abstract
This study was made on 829 students registered in undergraduate and graduate programs at the Dicle University spring term in 2013 in order to research students’s spending states from different angles who attending higher education in the city of Diyarbakir and to determine for helping of city’s economy. A questionnaire consisting of 24 items were performed In order to achieve the purpose ofthe study. According to the datas of the study, most of the students of Dicle university choose the university’s choosing so as to close their homeland ,almost all of the students is from southeastern Anatolia Region , students usually remain with their parents or renting a house, they see the city of Diyarbakır as fit to live as financially and so the students recommended university. According to the results; in 2012 students spend about 550 TL and in 2013 about 650 TL [(550+650)/2=600TL] .In this case the students of university have been contributed to the city about 16.500.000TL on month and 132.000.000TL in year.
