Abstract :
This study is a field study on current status and usage forms of khans in Diyarbakır, Mardin and Şanlıurfa provinces which take place the Silk Road route. Forms of incorporating khans into tourism and the things that should be done were discussed. It was issued protecting urban texture, sustainable rehabilitation of city infrastructure and architecture during recovering khans for tourism.
