A RANGE OF ARTICLES WRITTEN BY SULEYMAN NAZIF: EFFECT OF WESTERN LITERATURE TO OUR LITERATURE (RESEARCHING- TEXT)
Abstract :
Süleyman Nazif remarks as one of the important names of the writers who are writing about criticism. His familiarity with both east and west literature and his talent in prose provided to Süleyman Nazif to be one of the important critics of Turkish Literature. Some of Nazif’s articles in this direction have been published in the newspaper called Peyâm-ı Sabâh where Ali Kemâl is basic author. One of the range of articles consisting of five articles called ‘Effect Of Western Literature To Our Literature’ is remarkable with its title and content. In these articles first four of which have been published in the latest 1921 and last one in the soonest 1922, Süleyman Nazif mentions about innovation adventure in Turkish Literature in period of Tanzimat and after it. In this study, mentioned articles of Süleyman Nazif will be analyzed and the relevant texts will be revealed.
