A lot of works about history have been written in period of Ottoman Empire. Some of these works are about the history of the world. In these works it is usually tried to approach to the oldest historical sources of the humanity as much as possible. One of these works that is belonging to Said Pasha from Diyarbakır is a work called Mir’atu’l-Iber written in 19th century which is about history of the world and consisting 9 books. The work that has been published in Karabet and Kasbar press in 1304 starts with an introduction that informs about history knowledge and auxiliary knowledge from which knowledge of history is benefitting. Afterwards it analyzes stages of the history beginning from humanity. In this study, work of Said Pasha called Mir’atu’l-Iber will be introduced.
