FATE OF THE POEM: MAZMÛN

In this article, source of the poem was searched for in the light of traditional literature theories; “mazmûn” was accepted as the stable condition of the poem, a figure of sound and speech, before it was heard within the world of sound and speech. “Levh” or board of destiny, on which the “A‘yân-ı Sâbite” – one of the stages of creation in the traditional Islam cosmogony - is accepted to be written, is accepted as the source of mazmûns as well. Moreover, this article also claims that mazmûn equals to the “Layer of Destiny”, which is considered one of the layers of the literary work within the framework of art ontology.
