Abstract :
Hâverî, is one of the important yet little-known poets until today which has lived in the sixteenth century. He seems to be belonged to Kalenderî branch of mysticism and historical sources agree that he was from Manastir. His poems are well structured and he knows literary tradition very well. Hâverî has influenced Münîr, Âşık Çelebi, Şuhûdî and Celâl Çelebi while has been influenced by Ahmedî, Ahmet Paşa, Tâcî-zâde Cafer Çelebi, Ulvî, Nesîmî, Necâtî, Hafî, Şâhidî, Şeyhoğlu, Hayâlî, Hayretî, Rahmî, Nizâmî, Kemâlpaşa-zâde, Hûfî, Zâtî, Figânî and Sûzî. Alongside being a good poet, he has occupied a post of Muslim judge (qadi). He has died while occupying that post in 1565 according to historical sources. There is a small collection of poems (dîvânçe) by Hâverî protected in Fahri Bilge Collection of National Library but his collection of poems (dîvân) has not been reached, yet. There are twenty-nine ghazals and one stanza in Fahri Bilge manuscript. I tried to complete the collection of poems via investigating, basically, miscellanies of Pervâne Bey and Edirneli Nazmî, and other important miscellanies of the period. As a result of this, I have composed a collection of poems by Hâverî including forty-seven ghazals, five stanzas and seven couplets.
