Investigation of Effectiveness of Web Supported Concept Maps and Semantic Features Analyses on Classification of Living Things
Abstract :
The main purpose of the study is to develop and apply web-based concept mappings and semantic features analysis on the subject of ‘‘Classification of living things’’ and to investigate the effects on concept learning. In addition, is to research changes on concept maps and science lesson towards attitudes of preservice teachers. The sample consists of 50 4th grade Science and Technology preservice teachers. studying at 19 Mayıs Unıversity, Faculty of Education, Department of Primary Science Education. At the end of the application, the achievement increased 12% in favour of experiment group. But, gender has no significant effect on success and attitudes of the experiment and control group students. According to these results, it was determined that web based concept maps and semantic features analyses were more effect on reducing misconceptions in the experiment group.
