Investigation of Primary Education Second Grade Students’ Attitudes towards Environment in Terms of Various Variables (Karabük City Case)
Abstract :
This research was carried out in order to evaluate the attitudes of the primary education second grade students-in Karabuk, towards environment according to some variables. 790 primary school students participated in the research in 2010-2011 academic years in Karabük city centre. Survey model was applied, and “Environment Attitude Scale” developed by Atasoy (2005) was used for data collecting instrument in the research. It was concluded that primary education second grade students in Karabük have positive attitudes concerning with the environment. The attitudes of Primary education second grade students to the environment have shown significant differences according to “gender”, “class level”, “father education level”, “father profession situation” and “family income” variables, however, it did not show significant differences according to “mother education level”, “mother profession situation” and variables.
