An Analysis of Student Views on Activities Developed According to Learning Styles within a Constructivist Learning Environment

The aim of this study is to investigate student views on activity developed according to learning styles within a constructivist learning environment for a mathematics course. 19 high school students participated in the study and carried out the activities developed in line with the 4MAT system, which includes 8 instructional events. In order to identify students’ views on the activities, a questionnaire with open-ended questions was administered. For the analysis of student views, descriptive analysis method was preferred. At the end of their learning experience using the activities, the students expressed predominantly positive views about processes and skills such as student centred lessons, higher order cognitive skills, application, association, computer assisted learning and group study.
