Validity and Reliablity Study of The Scale of Diversity Management
Abstract :
The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale purposing to examine the teachers’ opinions about diversity management in official state schools. The workgroup of the study consists of 328 teachers working in secondary and general high schools in the city center of Diyarbakır in 2013-2014 academic year. Construct validity of the scale has been examined with exploratory factor analysis. According to analysis results, the scale assesses a two- factor structure. That the scale has assessed two- factor structure has been confirmed with confirmatory factor analysis. In order to determine the reliability of scale, Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficent value has been examined and this value has been set as 0,94. These results show that the scale of diversity management is a valid and reliable scale which can be used in examining teachers’ opinions about diversity management in official state schools.
