The Effect of Citizenship and Democracy on Eight Class Students Growing as a Conscious Citizen

The Effect of Citizenship and Democracy Lesson on the eight class students growing as a concious citizen is researched in this study. This research is made on the units of „Each person is Valuable‟ and „Democrasy Culture‟ that belong to the first term of 2012 and 2013 Education Year. The quantitative data collecting inventory is made up of 40 questions, After the plot application the number of the questions are decreased to 23 and applied to 58 students. The quantitative datas are collected with 10 students by the semi prepared interview method. In this research quantitative datas are collected by descriptive and content analyses, the quantitative datas are analysed by SPSS program. The discoveries of the research shows that The Effect of Citizenship and Democracy Lesson is effective on the eight class students growing as a concious citizen, getting democratic values, improving their consensus culture and equality values.
