Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to examine the attitudes of prospective teachers towards Instructional Technologies and Material Design (ITMD) course in terms of some variables. The work group of the research consists of 504 (250 males and 254 females) prospective teachers having education at Dicle University Faculty of Education in 2012-2013 academic year. The “Attitudes towards ITMD Course Scale” which was developed by researches was used as data gathering tool in the research. The scale consists of 33 items and 3 dimensions. Cronbach alpha reliability of the scale is .94 and .78-.95 for the subscales. The test-retest reliability of the scale is .90 and .76-.88 for the subscales. The results of this research indicated that the attitudes of prospective teachers towards ITMD course are at high level. There were statistically significant differences in the attitude points of the prospective teachers in terms of the academic achievement and computer usage levels variables; but not in gender and classroom levels. There are some recommendations based on the research results.
