Abstract
This investigation is a research aiming to find out the views of primary school teachers and school principals in regard to unions which are active in education, training and science services branch. The population of the study was composed of 8891 school principals and teachers working in schools in central districts (Bağlar, Kayapınar, Sur, Yenişehir) of Diyarbakır, in 2015-2016 academic year. 422 school principals and teachers selected with simple random sampling method constituted the sample. The participants’ opinions were obtained through “The Training Services Branch Unions Evaluation Questionnaire” developed by researcher. The data was analyzed with SPPS and AMOS package programs. The findings showed that school principals and teachers see training services unions as necessary for educational institutions at “high level” but find them adequate at “low level” from the aspect of serving and at “middle level” from the aspects of effects on work life and organizational representation.
