Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the factories that effects of selecting profession of science teaching candidates and their attitude towards professions. In this study, correlative survey method which is one of the methods of quantitative research design was used. Sample of study comprise of 306 elementary science teaching candidates who study science teaching department in Siirt University and Nine September University 2014-2015 academic year. A three-part questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. To analyze the results, aritmetic mean, standart deviation as descriptive statistics and t-testi, pearson moment correlation coefficient, regression analysis techiques were applied. As a results of the research, is to determine that there is a significant positive relationship between my own talents (r=,554; p .05), I receive information though media (r=,393; p .05), the place and value of teaching profession in society (r=,213; p ,05) elementary science teaching candidates’ factors that affecting of profession choice and attitudes towards professions. In addition, results are discussed with respect to improving sciences teaching candidates’ factors that effects of selecting profession and attitudes towards teaching professions.
