Social Loafing In Educational Institutions
Abstract :
In this research, the opinions of the teachers about teacher appointment criteria were examined. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used for this study. The study group consisted of 65 teachers. Three open-ended questions were prepared to collect data and the teachers were asked for their opinions. Descriptive analysis was applied on the data obtained and the sample views of the participants were included in the study. The sample views of the participants were included in the study. According to the results of the study; it is stated that social loafing behavior is observed in schools and teachers exhibit these behaviors in situations where there are common tasks and studies. It is stated that the performance of teachers who both exhibiting and not exhibiting social loafing decrease. In addition, in order to prevent social distractions, it was concluded that there should be encouraging approaches to the task, continuous supervision and equal distribution of tasks.
