Abstract :
The aim of this study is to determine whether the relation between teachers perceptions of positive psychological capital and their dedication to the profession. The research carried out by adopting a quantitative research approach has a feature of relational study. The study was carried out with 374 teachers, 167 female and 207 male working in the official state primary, middle and turend schools in the province of Siirt in the 2017-2018 academic year. The data of the research was collected through two different scales: ‘‘dedication to the profession and positive psychological capital’’. In order to determine the relationship between teachers positive psychological capital perceptions and devation to the profession, Sperman’s Rho’su Product Correlation technique was preferred in the conditions where assumptions were made from correlation methods. According to the results of the research findings; teachers perceptions of positive psychological capital degree was ‘‘too high’’. Devation to the profession degree was found to be ‘‘high’’. In the research, it was determined that there was a significantly moderate positive relationship between professional devation positive psychological capital perception.
