Olea Sylvestrıs Areas in the Lower Yesılırmak Valley and Its Economıc
Abstract :
In the Black Sea region is located 27% of the forests of our country. It is true that forests are distructed especially for fuel and house-construction not only throughout the country but in this region as well. In order to stop forest distruction, it is necessary to provide villagers in forest regions with a large variety of areas for their economic activities. It will be of great benefit to our country to economically utilize olea sylvestris areas in the Middle-Black Sea region, a natural habitat for olea sylvestris. This is because the economic utilization of olea sylvestris areas will support forest-villagers economically and a source of no use will be put to economic use or utility. The study focuses on principally geographical factors which enable olea sylvestris to naturally grow in the Middle Black Sea region and in the lower Yesilırmak Valley and elsewhere nearby, the distribution of olea sylvestris area and their economic utility.
