Relief Map Design for Geography Courses

Geography curriculum (2005) has made fundamental changes in content and implementation of geography course. In the program, geography teachers are also expected to develop some teaching materials and use them. In this context, one of the materials which can be prepared is relief maps made up of cardboard and that are the subjects of this study in which coloring method was used.In this study, construction phases of the relief maps which are among the materials developed in Instructional Technologies and Material Design Course presented in detail and examples are given. It is considered that the study is important as it gives information about the construction of relief maps; it can be evaluated within the scope of activity based education and support Geography Curriculum that suggesting geography teachers to prepare their own materials.
